Sabine

Sabine

I am Sabine, a native of Leipzig, who moved to East Berlin in the late 80ies. The Berlin Wall coming down was a certainly a quite memorable experience. After spending seven years abroad in Russia and the US I settled in the Western parts of the city and still enjoy living there. Since more than 20 years I have been teaching international students about urban developments and history in and around Berlin and other European metropoles. Berlin is my absolute favorite!! A city of arrivals and departure, of clashes, revolutions, downfalls, and recoveries. I love the well-known and even more the countless hidden stories in this city, which is always on the move. Ruins, castles, cemeteries, streets, gardens, posh and humble house –almost every stone is full of history. I love the old and new quarters of migrants with their vibrant food culture. I am excited to take you around!
