Welcome to my world in Berlin!

I'm Jan, born in the transformative 70s in Bavaria, and since 2003 deeply and happily rooted in Berlin.

From the tango halls of Buenos Aires to the streets of Kabul, my personal and professional experiences across continents—including extended stays in Italy and Spain—have profoundly enriched my life. Before settling into Berlin’s cosmopolitan rhythm, I served in the German Naval Infantry. My background in law, particularly my thesis on the Reichstag fire and the rise of the Nazis, connects deeply with Berlin’s history, enriching the diverse tours I offer.

I started guiding in 2011 and since then I can’t commit to anything else knowing that nothing would give me the same satisfaction. I have been guiding group tours and private tours, ending up specialized mainly in private tours.

Guiding is more than a profession for me—it's a passion that allows me to meet incredible people from all walks of life, many of whom I remain in touch with long after their visits.

Whether guiding family trips (as a father myself, I understand the nuances of traveling with family), work conventions, exotic cruises, local residents, expats, or even bachelor parties, each tour is a unique opportunity to share Berlin's layered history and vibrant present. Berlin's dynamic spirit and historical depth offer endless narratives that I am eager to share with you.

Join me, and let's explore Berlin together. Discover its hidden corners, hear the untold stories of its past, and experience first-hand why this city continues to fascinate and inspire all who wander its streets.
