I was born in Istanbul and came later to Berlin, where my parents started to work in the mid 1960s. So I spent my life in both Germany and Turkey.

After visiting schools in both countries, I graduated from Ege University in İzmir with bachelor’s degrees in English and American Philology and then studied Turkology at the Free University of Berlin.

During my stay in the beautiful city of İzmir on the west coast of Turkey in the late 1980s, I also successfully completed the courses and examinations of the Turkish Ministry for Tourism and Culture, thereby earning my Professional Guiding License. I started gaining my first guide experiences in Ephesus, Pergamon, Troy, and other ancient sites of Turkey.

In the following years, I had many possibilities to improve my skills as a guide not only in all of Turkey, but also in several countries in Europe, such as Austria and Germany.

Since 1994, I am living again in this flourishing, beautiful city of Berlin. After completing a basic course for tour guiding in Berlin in 1995, I love guiding city tours in Berlin, Potsdam, and the surrounding regions.
