Hello everyone. My name is Anne and I am originally from France. Love at first sight sounds really cliché, but it is what happened to me with Berlin, and actually to many people coming to the German capital.

I came for vacation with my husband and knew immediately that I wanted to be a guide here and share the fascinating history of Berlin with everyone. It took me 3 years to convince my other half, but here I am today.

I am French, but more precisely, I am Alsatian. I was born and raised in the city of Strasbourg, located on the border between France and Germany. Strasbourg went back and forth between the two countries 4 times in the last century. My great grandparents were born German and my grandparents were born French, then became German, and finally French again. This history and double culture influenced me and I see myself mostly as European more than anything else.

After getting my Bachelor’s degree in History at the University of Strasbourg, I studied history for one year in Virginia in the United States. Later, I got Master’s degrees in both Journalism and Museology, as well as my professional license for guiding in France. Since 2013, I guide groups and individuals in museums, castles, and cities, including Strasbourg, Colmar, Basel, and Berlin.

Follow me in the streets of Berlin to discover the fascinating history of the German capital. There is no other place in Europe where you can feel how things changed so quickly and how there are still changing today. I would love to share with you my passion and make you realize how Berlin played one of the main roles in 20th century history. Don’t be afraid of having to attend a history class; it is not what I want my visit to be. Through questions and exchanges, I will help you experience Berlin and make you maybe fall in love with the city, too.
